Description
Milling and bread manufacturer GoodMills Romania, the Romanian subsidiary of the Austrian Group GoodMills announced the closing of the Titan plant from Cernica (Ilfov County). The closing of the Titan plant will result in the loss of all 250 jobs (permanent full-time positions). The Titan plant will be closed by the end of January 2017.
GoodMills is the largest milling group in Europe. In 2014, the Austrian Group bought together with the milling production, the bread production (Titan plant), even if the company is specialized in milling.
The management of the group announced the concentration of its production on milling, starting from 2017. The trade union has so far not reacted to the announcement.
GoodMills Group generates annual sales of about 980 million euro and has about 2,300 employees.
