Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Latvian branch of the international IT company Accenture has announced plans to recruit more than 200 new employees by August 2017. The new jobs are part of the company's plans to expand their business, according to Maksims Jegorovs, head of the Latvian branch. In the financial year 2014-2015, the company generated a turnover of €32.17 million and had a profit of €2.02 million.
Accenture is an international management consultation, IT and outsourcing company. The company employs more than 375,000 people across the world, serving customers in more than 120 countries. In Latvia, the company employs 1,000 people and was established in 2002.
