European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Electricity company E.ON has announced that it is to create 500 new positions for smart meter installers. The roles will be spread across its UK networks. The selection of candidates is supported by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). The DWP's Smart Sector Based Work Academy identifies unemployed individuals who would likely gain benefit from their bespoke training and delivers training to get these candidates work-ready. It is anticipated that around 50 individuals will be selected through this route. Recruitment is currently open and successful candidates are due to begin work in January 2017.
