US based company Televerde is to create 170 new positions at its European headquarters in Glasgow. The company set up in Glasgow earlier in 2016 and cited the rich talent pool available in the city and the proximity to Continental Europe as reasons for its decision. Televerde is involved in business to business sales and marketing and will serve businesses in many European nations. Of the new positions, it is understood that 130 will be for multilingual contact agents. The contact centre will have capability to serve customers in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Scandinavian and Eastern European languages. The exact timescale for the jobs to be filled is not yet known.
