Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Turkish clothing retailer Koton Romania is to hire 245 persons by the end of 2017. The retailer has been active in the local market since 2007 and it owns stores in five cities in Romania - namely, Bucharest, Timisoara, Iasi, Ploiesti and Constanta - with a total workforce of 205 employees. In 2016, the company opened three new stores in Bucharest and one in Timisoara.
Koton was originally founded in Istanbul in 1988 and it operates 455 stores in 25 countries with a global workforce of 8,200 employees.
