Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The HR manager of the engineering and consultant company Akka Technologies (12,200 employees world wide) announced that it will be recruiting an additional 1,800 employees in 2017 in France, after it has recruited 1,600 employees in 2016. About 200 positions are related to the concept-car Link&Go building in Marignane (Bouches-du-Rhône) near Marseilles. In a previous ERM Factsheet of 2011, the group announced the hiring of slightly over 5,000 new employees world wide. Akka recruits mainly young graduate and engineers with 2 to 5 years of experience.
