Description
Online retailer Amazon has announced to create 250 new jobs in a new logistic unit in Gidy (near Orléans). The new site is built in the same area than its warehouses in Saran (Loiret) and is linked to it with a 200 metres' gateway. The aim is to reduce the delivery delay for its customers in the Parisian region. Last September, Amazon has announced to build its fifth warehouse store by November 2017 in Amiens (Somme) where 500 to 800 would be created. Amazon will employ about 4,000 people on permanent employment contract by the end of 2016 and over 1,000 in the Loiret department.
