Online retailer Amazon has announced to create 250 new jobs in a new logistic unit in Gidy (near Orléans). The new site is built in the same area than its warehouses in Saran (Loiret) and is linked to it with a 200 metres' gateway. The aim is to reduce the delivery delay for its customers in the Parisian region. Job creation were recorded on the ERM Database four times since 2007 : 200 positions in 2007, 250 in 2010, 400 in 2012, 2,500 in 2014 and 450 in 2016. Last September, Amazon has announced to build its fifth warehouse store by November 2017 in Amiens (Somme) where 500 to 800 would be created.
