Description
Dudley council has unveiled budget plans for 2017/18 which will result in the loss of 110 jobs. By cutting the jobs and raising council tax by the maximum level permissible (3.99%), the local authority hopes to generate GBP 4 million. The council is understood to be in need of finding GBP 25 million in savings and revenue over the next three years. The council has reportedly already cut 150 jobs over the previous two years. It is not yet known which sorts of jobs will be affected by this latest announcement.
