Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
RSA Insurance Group has announced that it is to create 200 new positions at its call centre operations in Peterborough. The company said that it has been able to create these new jobs as a result of increased trade following the EU referendum result. The subsequent fall in the value of Sterling has resulted in an increase in business as the company does approximately two-thirds of its trading in foreign currencies. It is understood that the new positions are already being advertised and they will be filled over a 12 month period.
