Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Scanfil - a Finnish contract manufacturer and system supplier - has decided to close its Hungarian plant in Hungary, in Biatorbágy. The closure process will terminate during the second quarter of 2017. Closing the factory will finalise the restructuring related to PartnerTech factory network integration. Turnover of Scanfil’s Hungarian subsidiary was about EUR 13.6 million and operating loss of approximately EUR 1.2 million in 2015. 200 jobs will be lost.
