Description
Jamnica is currently the largest Croatian producer of mineral and spring water, and soft drinks. The company has announced plans of an organisational restructuring, which includes the dismissal of 150 out of the current 1,100 employees working there. The restructuring of the company also involves changes in worker's tasks and in the remuneration system. The restructuring is set to be implemented by the end of 2016. Although Jamnica dominates the market of non-alcoholic drinks and has displayed good operating results, there is strong competition on the market, which is understood to be the reason for said restructuring. The company is facing some criticism regarding the handling of the dismissals, as employers are required to consult with the Works Council in the event of dismissals, but dismissed employees stated that only the general restructuring of the company had been discussed in these meetings.
