Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Insurance company Autonet has announced that it is to create 260 new positions in the coming twelve months. 60 of the positions will be for apprentices. The company, which is based in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, specialises in providing insurance for vans and cars. The announcement of the new positions follows the company's acquisition by HPS Investment Partners. The roles which are being created will be based in the customer service and sales departments. The company has already held an open day to try to attract new recruits and to show them the benefits of working for the company.
