Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Financial services company Age Partnership has announced plans to create 100 new jobs based at its offices in Leeds. The company, which specialises in financial planning for people nearing retirement, is looking to recruit mortgage and pension advisers as well as IT developers and other support staff. Once the new jobs are added, the company's workforce will number more than 400. The new positions have been created due to the increase in demand for the company's range of products for the over 50's market. Age Partnership is using a variety of social media platforms in its bid to recruit for the new positions. As of October 2016, it is not known exactly when these new positions will be filled, though it is expected to be over the coming months.
