European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Swiss frozen bakery supplier Aryzta announced to hire 100 more people at its German site in Eisleben, Saxony-Anhalt. Aryta already took over 30 former employees of the frozen food supplier Frenzel, which closed its site at the end of August 2016. According to the spokesperson, the Swiss companyis already in contact with 35 more former Frenzel employees to negotiate employment. Aryzta is still looking for 100 more staff.
Aryzta employs 1,800 people in Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt and 10,000 employees worldwide. In August 2016, the subsidiary of Aryzta Fricopan shut down its site in Immekath in the State of Saxony-Anhalt and dismissed 500 employees (Fricopan, 2016).
