Description
The Danish-based multinational company, FLSmidth, is a global engineering company supplying one source plants, systems and services to the cement and minerals industries. On 29 September 2016 the company announced that 130 jobs in Denmark will be cut as a result of lower turnover due to a decreasing number of large projects. Furthermore, there is currently a need for more service activities at cement and mining factories, and FLSmidth is prioritising this situation at the moment by restructuring their expenses accordingly. FLSmidth has 13,000 employees at the global level. As of October 2016, there is no information about the foreseen end date of the redundancies.
