Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Polish national postal operator Poczta Polska has announced that it will create 800 new jobs. The company is looking for mail carriers, customer service staff, drivers and security guards who will work in units in the northern and western parts of the country (in the following provinces: Pomeranian, West Pomeranian, Lubusz, Great Poland, Lower Silesian and Silesian).
Poczta Polska has revealed that it is going to hire employees made redundant by private postal operator InPost (InPost cut over 1,200 jobs in July 2016).
It's the first time in eight years that Poczta Polska has created new jobs; in the previous period the company introduced several dismissal programmes affecting several thousands of workers.
