Description
On 29 September 2016, the management of Siemens Energy Management has announced to its Central works council a social plan to cut about 106 positions (about 20% of the current workforce). On 30 September, over 200 employees went on strike to denounce this reorganisation that arrives 6 years after a reorganisation that affected 330 positions. The secretary of the works council explains that the orders book has been full for 5 years and that there are no reason to launch a new social plan. He fears that Siemens could sell the site.
