Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Finnish automobile manufacturer Valmet Automotive has announced that it will hire 150 new employees during the remaining part of 2016. In addition the company has already hired 100 new employees during 2016. The reason for the expansion is the production of the new Mercdenz Bendz A-series, especially manufacturing of Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV. New employees will work with welding, painting and assembling. The recruitment process is being handled in cooperation with Opteam.
Valmet Automotive has 1450 employees in Uusikaupunki and over 12 000 in total world wide. The ERM has recently reported on relocation of Valmet employees from Germany to Poland in may 2016 and on previous business expansion in Uusikaupunki in 2014.
