Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Polish furniture company Pres Mebel has announced that it will create 100 jobs at its new factory in Skarżysko-Kamienna. It is foreseen that eventually up to 500 jobs will be created. The company has already moved to the production halls and plans to invest several million złotys. Pres Mebel is looking for upholsterers, seamstresses, fitters and logistic staff. The company will hire experienced workers as well as people without experience in the industry; the company will provide training.
Pres Mebel has been operating since 1991; the company is headquartered in Częstochowa where it employs 450 people. The company supplies furniture to companies operating in Poland, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Lithuania and Latvia.
