European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Biotechnology firm Ortec is planning to create 110 new jobs at its site in Newcastle West, County Limerick. The roles are described as skilled engineering and science jobs and are expected to be filled as Ortec's expansion in Limerick continues. Once completed Ortec's workforce will have doubled. Ortec is an American company that specialises in custom materials research and manufacturing, and works with companies involved in "pharmaceuticals, medical devices, excipients, bioabsorbable products, hygienic products, cosmetics, and nutritional additives."
Ortec's expansion is supported by IDA Ireland.
