Description
Åkers Sweden is reducing its workforce by 58 employees in order to adjust production capacity to the current market. The company is currently the second largest employer in the region. The company has stated that the losses should not come as a surprise to employees, as the order intake for spring was far less than expected. Negotiations are underway with the unions concerning the 50 blue-collar workers and 8 the white-collar workers that are affected by the cuts.
