Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Chinese producer of large-size displays and signage (billboards, LED video walls, 4K displays etc.), Leyard Shenzen Opto Electronics, will create 150 new jobs in its new factory in Presov Industrial Park Zaborske. Business expansion is attributed to the permanent increase in orders from customers looking for such customised displays. Presently, the company operates its small subsidiary in hired premises in Presov City, where about 50 employees assembly the displays. Leyard Shenzen Company will invest about €2.3 million into building its new factory where production lines, administration and a representative showroom will be set up until the end of 2016. To increase the production capacity, the Company will invest nearly €3 million by the end of 2017 and the total number of employees will increase to 200.
