Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German manufacturer of cleaning equipment Kärcher received a state aid of EUR 8 million to open a factory in Curtea de Arges (Arges County) by the end of September 2016.
The German company applied for state aid through a Romanian subsidiary Cer Cleaning Equipment. The company will hire 200 workers for the new plant by the end of 2016.
In Curtea de Arges, Kärcher will produce vacuum cleaners for private households and industry users.
In 2015, Kärcher has set a new record with sales totaling Euro 2.22 billion. At the end of 2015, the company employed 11,333 people across 60 countries.
