Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Polish producer of PCV windows Drutex has announced that it will create between 300 and 400 new jobs at its European Woodwork Centre (Europejskie Centrum Stolarki) in Bytów near Słupsk. The restructuring event is associated with the construction of the second stage of the centre which has been completed. The company plans further expansion of the factory as Drutex is to double its production capacity within next three years.
Drutex has been operating in Poland since 1985; currently the company is the biggest manufacturer of PCV woodwork in Europe employing 2,400 people. European Woodwork Centre in Bytów was launched in 2014.
