Ruabon based bus company GHA coaches has entered administration with the immediate loss of 320 jobs. The company operated 230 vehicles from six depots in North Wales, Cheshire and Shropshire. The reasons for the company's demise have not been reported. The closure of the company attracted media interest because it had been contracted by local authorities to operate school and public transport routes. It is understood that some of these routes still require an operator and in the case of the Welsh Government, it has announced that it is willing to consider subsidising a company to run the routes.
