Description

Polish producer of soft drinks Hoop Poland has announced that it will shut down its factory in Bielsk Podlaski. As a result, 140 employees will lose their jobs by the end of 2016. The restructuring programme aims to improve financial and organisational effectiveness of the company; the programme will help to reduce running costs and make logistics operations more efficient.

Hoop was founded in 1992. Currently, the company is a part of Kofola ČeskoSlovensko Group, a one of the largest producer of soft drinks in Central Europe. In Poland, the company has three production plants (Kutno, Grodzisk Wielkopolski and Bielsk Podlaski).
