Swedish construction company Skanska has announced that it will cut 1,150 jobs across Poland via collective dismissal programme. The conditions of the programme will be negotiated with the local trade union; the programme will be implemented between August and October 2016.
The main reasons behind the decision are a fall in number of public tenders, lower than expected profit from those projects which have been already gained as well as general worsening of the situation in the construction sector.
Currently, the company employs over 6,000 people across the country.
