Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The computer consultancy firm Sopra-Steria which currently has 38,000 employees, including 18,000 in France, has announced that it will recruit about 150 engineers for its cyberdefense activities on its sites in Bretagne. The group hires a wide variety of personnel, from young graduates to experienced computer specialists who understand the difficulties in managing cyber security. The company has been described as "recruiting with a vengeance", and have hired up to 2,600 new employees annually. The group is the second largest French software company after Dassault Systèmes.
