Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Producer of accessories for vacuum cleaners Wessel-Poliamid has announced that it will create at least 100 jobs (the employment is expected to increase to 150 positions) at its new factory in Jaszkowa Dolna near Kłodzko. The factory is located in Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone and the company plans to invest over PLN 25 million (EUR 5.74m USD 6.41m). The facility is expected to be operational in fall 2016; the unit is currently being built. The investment includes the construction of plant, warehouse and office space. The factory will produce the accessories for household and industrial vacuum cleaners. The plant will use environmentally friendly technology, for example heating will be based on the heat generated in the production process.
