Description
Polish oil and gas company Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo (PGNiG) has announced that about 160 jobs will be cut via voluntary dismissal programme in 2016. The restructuring programme is associated with the group’s plan to reduce its operation costs by PLN 223 million (EUR 50.57mn USD 55.89mn) in 2016. Besides dismissals, the company plans to sell some of its real estate assets. The cost of the voluntary dismissal programme are estimated to PLN 14-19 million (EUR 3.21-4.36 million USD 3.58-4.87 million).
PGNiG, subsidiary of PGNiG group, is the largest Polish oil and gas company employing 4,900 people. PGNiG group employs over 24,800 people across the country.
