Description

Online retailer Amazon has announced plans to create 1,000 new jobs in the UK.  This is in addition to the 2,500 jobs which were announced earlier in 2016.  The new jobs will be based in London, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Manchester and Leicestershire.  By the end of 2016 Amazon is expected to employ 15,500 full time staff. The company also commented that it has seen no reason to alter its plans as a result of the vote to leave the EU stating that it is 'business as usual'. It is not being reported exactly when these new jobs will be filled, but the media reports suggest that they will be required for when Amazon gears up to meet Christmas demand.
