Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Chinese producer of lighting equipment Hongbo has announced that it will create 100 jobs at its new production facility in Opole. In total, the company plans to create up to 300 jobs. The factory, which will be located in the WaĆbrzych Special Economic Zone, is expected to be fully operational in February 2017. The plant will produce lighting equipment in LED technology. The company is to invest EUR 100 million in the project.
Hongbo specialises in the production of semiconductor light, urban lighting, high-power LED lighting as well as lighting for tunnels, gardens and bars.
