Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German producer of electronic components Diehl Controls has announced that it will create 150 new jobs at its production site in Namysłów in the first half of 2017. Diehl Controls is to employ fitters; the company provides training for hired people. The company is expanding the unit, especially office, production and storage space. The investment is expected to be completed by the middle of 2017.
Diehl Controls produces electronic modules and systems components for the domestic appliance industry, including such brands as Bosch, Siemens, Electrolux and Whirlpool. The company operates in Germany, China, Poland, Mexico and the USA. Currently, the company employs almost 1,200 people at its two locations in Poland.
