Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German producer of alloy wheels Uniwheels announced that it will create 150 new jobs at its third production facility in Stalowa Wola. The company has employed 250 people as it declared in 2015. In total, the company plans to create 400 jobs and produce 500,000 wheels in 2016, with the output to reach 2 million products in 2017. The investment will increase the combined production capacity of the capital group by 20-25%, with the workforce increasing to 3,000. The wheels produced in Stalowa Wola will be supplied to producers of premium-class cars. The company is planning to invest in another plant in the city.
Currently, Uniwheels has three plants in Poland (all in Stalowa Wola) and employs over 2,000 people.
