Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German company Rhenus Logistics has announced that it will create over 200 new jobs at its new logistic centre in Bolesławiec, Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone, Poland. The company will invest PLN 82 million (EUR 18.51 million USD 20.5 million). It will be the biggest Rhenus’s investment in Poland and one of the biggest in Europe. The first stage of the investment is expected to be completed in October 2016. In total, 100,000 m2 of warehouse space will be created there.
Rhenus is a global logistics company owning 8 warehouse locations and 13 logistic centres across Poland, that together are able to service 50,000 deliveries a day. The company has 500 centres worldwide and employs over 26,000 people.
