Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Transport provider Genco Carmela & Figli is to hire 127 workers in the province of Vibo Valentia.
The company signed an agreement with Invitalia, the national agency for investment promotion and enterprise development, with a view to boosting tourism in the area.
The worth of the investment is €20 million, of which €14 million are provided by Invitalia in forms of subsidies.
According to the investment plan, the company will extend its activities to accommodation and care services. In particular, the plan entails the development of a residential care home in Serra San Bruno, a conference centre in Vibo Valentia and two luxury hotels in Ricadi and Pizzo Calabro respectively.
