Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Irish based airline Ryanair has announced that it is to create 450 new jobs across its UK airports following the opening of its new European training centre at London Stanstead. This is part of a larger expansion, which including the 450 UK jobs is expected to result in 1,000 new jobs in the company worldwide. The company has confirmed that the UK roles will be based at its 13 airports and the roles which will be offered include pilots, cabin crew and engineers. It is understood that these positions will be filled by the end of 2016.
