Description
The Canadian retailer Hudson's Bay Company has started to recruit some 2,500 persons for its 20 department stores to be opened in the Netherlands in 2017. Personnel is being recruited for its head office in Leiden, which is to be followed by the recruitment of store personnel beginning in the spring of 2017. The bankruptcy of the Dutch department store V&D in 2016 created the space for Hudson's Bay to move into the Netherlands, both in terms of market demand and physical locations, of which Hudson's Bay will occupy a number. Hudson's Bay also owns department stores in the United States (Saks 5th Avenue and Saks Off 5th), Germany (Kaufhof) and Belgium (Inno).
