Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Mubea, the German producer of components for the automotive industry, has announced that it will create 900 new jobs at its new factory in Olszowa near Strzelce Opolskie in the Katowice Special Economic Zone, Poland. The company has already built two new production halls on 20 hectares of land; one of them is already operational and the second one will be launched in July 2016. Another four halls are expected to be build within the next years. The company has employed about 100 people who underwent or are still undergoing training in the Mubea factory in Žebrák, Czech Republic, as it was previously declared in 2015. The factory will supply components to Volkswagen and Opel.
