Description
Clare-based pharmaceutical manufacturer Roche Holding AG is to close, with the loss of 240 jobs.
In November 2015, the plant was signalled for closure but there were hopes a buyer for the plant could be found over the following six months. This effort was not successful however, and the plant is now to close. There will be an orderly wind-down of the company, with final closure expected between 2018 and 2019
Roche has been operating in Clarecastle, Co Clare since 1974.
