European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Italian eyewear manufacturer and distributor Luxottica is to hire up to 500 employees in Sedico (Belluno) as a result of a strong growth. The Sedico site is the main logistics hub, employing about 1,000 workers, and the only one in Europe. The group plans to expand the facility by the end of August 2016. The recruitment of the new employees is set to begin soon after.
The Luxottica group currently employs about 79,000 workers worldwide, and it reported an increase in sales by 17% in 2015, up to €9 billion.
