Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
IT consulting firm Olisistem-ITQ announced the hiring of 180 employees at its site of Settimo Torinese (Turin), following the recent acquisition of a new contract. The new jobs will be created before this summer.
According to the unions, this job creation stems from the good relations between the trade unions and the company. In 2013, negotiations prevented dismissals and resulted in 150 temporary contracts being converted into permanent ones.
