Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
American supplier of steering products Nexteer Automotive has announced that it will create 150 jobs at its newly opened factory and technical centre in Tychy by the end of 2017. The company is looking for engineers, including mechanical engineers, designers, analysis engineers, programmers, IT testers and electronic engineers, who will work on solutions for self-steering cars. Nexteer will hire both experienced specialists and graduates. This factory, the third branch of Nexteer in Poland, is worth PLN 70 million (EUR 15.87 million USD 17.90 million).
Nexteer is a global company employing 12,000 people in 21 factories, 5 engineering centres, 10 customer service centres and 3 testing centres worldwide. The company cooperates with major global car producers. In Poland, the company has three factories (all located in Tychy) employing almost 1,500 people.
