Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Global industrial technology company Sensata Technologies has announced the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Tsaratsovo near Plovdiv (Bulgaria). This business expansion will result in the creation of between 1,200 and 1,500 jobs. The new facility, which is the second largest of the group worldwide, will produce pressure sensors for a wide range of applications including the automotive industry.
The company also operates a business centre in Sofia and another plant producing temperature sensors in Botevgrad. The total workforce is of 1,850 people.
Reportedly Sensata Technologies has 19,000 employees worldwide.
