Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Kostal Bulgaria, a subsidiary of German manufacturer of electronic systems for cars Kostal, is to create 300 new jobs at its new production facility in Pazardjik. This is the third plant operated by the company in Bulgaria.
The first Kostal facility in Bulgaria has been operational since 2011 and it employs 750 people. The second is located in Smolyan, where 100 new jobs are to be created by the end of 2016. Main customers of Kostal are Volskwagen, Ford, FIAT, Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche, BMW and Daimler.
Founded in 1912 in Germany, Kostal Group has five main business divisions, namely automotive electrical systems, industrial electronics, connectors, test technology and solar electrics.
