Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Wren Kitchens has announced plans to create 600 new jobs as it expands its site at Barton, North Lincolnshire. The GBP 40 million (€49.6 million) expansion is being planned to meet customer demand. The positions will be across manufacturing, engineering, IT, customer service and training. The company already employs 429 employees at the site, which it took over in 2012. The new positions which will be created will cover manufacturing, engineering, IT and training as well as client-facing customer service roles. The company has said that these new positions will be created from now until 2017.
