Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German automotive parts producer Continental plans to create 1,000 new jobs in Romania by the end of this year. The new jobs will be created at Continental R&D centres (Timisoara, Sibiu, Iasi and Brasov) and production units (Brasov, Sibiu, Timisoara, Carei and Nadab) across the country. The open positions are for university graduates as well as experienced automotive and software engineers.
In 2015, Continental invested EUR 130 millions in its activities in Romania and hired some 1,500 new employees.
Update, 25 May 2016: The Company has launched the plan for the construction of new buildings at Timisoara centre. The Timisoara centre will have an additional 7,000 square meters by the end of 2016 and the investment is about EUR 12 milllions.
