Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Polish convenience store chain Dino has announced that it will create 150 jobs at its new logistic centre in Jastrowie near Piła in late June and early July 2016. Eventually, 350 jobs are expected to be created by July 2017. The company has already started a recruitment of managers; employees on other positions will be recruited in spring 2016. The company plans to invest PLN 45 million (EUR 10.51 million USD 11.68 million), and the centre will supply articles to about 200 Dino stores located in the northern part of the country. The chain was founded in 1999; it has over 350 stores across the country in 2015.
