Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Swedbank, one of the major Swedish bank, has announced its intention to create 400 jobs at a newly established non-financial services centre in Vilnius by the beginning of 2018. The centre started its activities on 1 March 2016 and currently employs 140 employees. The newly opened centre will provide services to the entire Swedbank group which owns more than 500 branches with around 14,000 employees in Sweden and the Baltic states.
According to the management, Swedbank is planning to create around 700 new jobs in the Baltic states by 2018. Currently Swedbank employs 1,279 employees in Lithuania.
