Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Swedish Police Authority is to hire 100 new employees due to a reorganisation of the police districts in Sweden. A new district covering the middle and northeastern region of Skåne, the western regions Blekinge and Kronoberg will be created on 2 April 2016, and will be named "Sydvästra Götaland" (Southwestern Götaland). In total the district will have well over 600 employees. The need for new employees has arisen because the region is growing. Around 50-60 employees will be hired before the summer and approximately 50 more will be hired during the autumn. Both police officers and non-operational staff will be hired.
The ERM previously reported the expansion of the Swedish Police Authority at Gotland in 2015.
